A Liebherr LTM 1100-5.2 mobile crane from Krandienst Kunze was involved in the Semper Opera Ball in Dresden. The crane held a ball fitted with mirrors which acted as a focal point in the light show and firework display. The LTM 1100-5.2 hoisted a mirror ball for these events which enriched the light show with an additional fantastic effect. The use of a hundred-tonne crane was necessary since the ball was held at an outreach of around 50 m.
